Former Brave Mitch Moreland Gets the Call

Former Bourne Braves Mitch Moreland has been called up from the Texas Rangers Triple A Team, the Oklahoma City RedHawks, and is expected to be in uniform tonight for the Rangers when they take on the Oakland Athletics.

Moreland played for the Braves in 2006 and 2007 and most fans remember him for winning the Home Run Hitting Contest in 2006 at the Cape League All Star Game.

Moreland played 95 games for the Oklahoma City RedHawks this season and is hitting .289 with 12 HRs and 65 RBI.
