Four Braves Chosen as All Stars

Four members of the Bourne Braves were chosen to the Cape League All Star Team. Representing Bourne on the West squad will be starter Grayson Garvin (Vanderbilt), and relievers, RJ Alvarez (Florida Atlantic) and Tony Zych (Louisville). Alvarez and Zych have yet to allow an earned run this summer. Garvin is 3-0 in four starts with a 0.79 ERA.
Scott Woodward (Coastal Carolina) was chosen as a starting outfielder. Woodward has played in 23 games for the Braves this season and is currently 3rd in the league with a .320 batting average.
Daniel Bowman (Coastal Carolina) will be representing the West in the Home Run Hitting Contest. Bowman is currently tied for first in the league with 5 homeruns.
The 48th annual All-Star game will be held on July 28 at Fenway Park. General admission tickets for the game, priced at $10, are still available and can be purchased at www.redsox.com/capecod or at Doran Park.
