Braves to Face Cotuit Kettleers in Championship Series

The Bourne Braves will take on their Western Division rival the Cotuit Kettleers in the 2009 Cape Cod Baseball League Championship Series.

The Cotuit Kettleers beat the YD Red Sox by a commanding score of 18-4 Monday at Red Wilson Field to take the division series (2-1).

Cotuit beat Wareham in the one game first round playoff game last Friday. They won the first game of the series against YD with YD coming back to take game two. They have played 4 games in the last 4 days while Bourne with a bye in round one as Western Division Champions and a sweep of Orleans has played only two games.

The Cotuit Kettleers and Bourne Braves have faced each other 6 times this season and the Braves hold a slight advantage having won 3, Cotuit won 2 and the teams tied once.

The Championship Series will start Tuesday night at Doran Park at 7 pm. Game two will be at Cotuit's Lowell Park at 3 pm on Wednesday. A deciding game three, if necessary, will be at Doran Park Thursday night at 7 pm.
