Bourne Braves Join Cape League Community in Mourning the Loss of John Wylde

BOURNE - The Cape League lost long-time Wareham Gatemen president and GM John Wylde on Monday. Wylde passed away at the age of 70 after a long and heroic battle with cancer.

The Bourne Braves join the entire Cape Cod Baseball Community in sending their thoughts and prayers to the Wareham Gateman and Wylde Family. Mike Carrier, General Manager of the Bourne Braves, described Wylde's passing as "a sad day for the Gatemen, the Cape League and baseball in general. He will be missed."

A celebration of his life will be held at the Wickenden Chapel at Tabor Academy in Marion at a date to be determined.  Please visit the Gateman website for additional information.
