Braves to Hold Annual Elections

The Bourne Athletic Association will be holding their Annual Elections at the October, 8th, 2008 Annual Meeting.
The Slate of Nominations will be presented at the September 10th meeting to take place at 6 pm at Upper Cape Technical High School.
The Nominating Committee is preparing to present a slate for voting to fill the positions that are up for a two year term. The positions are as follows: President, Director of Housing, Director of Fundraising, Public Relations Coordinator, Treasurer, Souvenirs Coordinator, and Director of Clinics. The treasurer position is vacant and we are avidly pursuing someone for that spot.
In addition, the Braves are also looking to form committees for next season that will address some of our needs on game day. These committees will deal with Vice President of Operations and work on 50/50, covering the gate and helping to serve the occasional team dinners.
Members of the associations, as defined by the Bourne Athletic Association bylaws, shall consist of businesses and individuals who annually contribute a minimum of $100, those volunteers who contribute at least 30 hours annually and any host provider (limited to 1 vote per household). Any board member who's a host provider is limited to only 1 vote.
The Braves encourage anyone interested in learning more about the open board of director positions to please email, Nominating Committee Chair, Jeanne Flynn.
All interested parties and members of the associations are encouraged to attend the September and October meetings to participate in the election process and learn more about getting involved with the Braves.
